Both sources. A jpeg has no alpha: a pixel left transparent (`'scene'` over a 'transparent' stage) is black, as 1.x encoded it, and `'render'` with `background: 'transparent'` rejects HoloInputError ('invalid-input', path 'format'). For a jpeg on white pass `background: '#ffffff'`.

**Default:** 'png'
