# `Events['drag:end']`

> Contract 2.0.0 · package sha256 `a857eca95b35921109faf997094bb4192f12527d9d0fcd4be7e97f06425bad6e` · generated from `configurator-runtime.d.ts` by `services/onsite-scripter/scripts/build-contract-docs.mjs`; edit the source, not this file.

Property of [`Events`](Events.md) · stable · since 2.0.0

```ts
'drag:end': {
  readonly part: Part<CommitOptions>;
  readonly pose: Pose;
  readonly moved: boolean;
  readonly reason: 'released' | 'cancelled' | 'other';
  readonly cause: Cause | null;
  readonly op: OpId | null;
};
```

`pose` is the last constrained world pose. `op` is the `commit: 'runtime'` commit's operation, assigned at release (spec section 6.1, O2a); null when the drag makes no runtime commit (`commit: 'app'`). `cause` is that commit's when it applied before this dispatch, else null: one still queued behind an earlier write reports itself by its state events and the feed entry whose `cause.op` is `op` (`cause.kind` 'input'), or by 'sync-failed' with that `op` and the unit's `node` (spec section 6.4); an equal drop records neither (O15). A lost capture is 'cancelled'.

## Generic-API test (spec 3.1)

| Rule | Result |
| --- | --- |
| 1. Neutral name | pass: `drag:end` names no product |
| 2. A precedent | pass: [Babylon.js PointerDragBehavior (startDrag, onDragObservable, validateDrag)](https://github.com/BabylonJS/Babylon.js/blob/master/packages/dev/core/src/Behaviors/Meshes/pointerDragBehavior.ts) (row `G1`); [jQuery UI draggable (drag, revert)](https://api.jqueryui.com/draggable/) (row `G1`) |
| 3. Two apps, or labs | pass: 22 apps (ledger: app-04c2774145, app-37356bf09f, app-4762caacdc, app-fc07850558, app-fc306ec3dc; fleet cross-check: app-04c2774145, app-0c773a4ee3, app-37356bf09f, app-378d190f1b, app-4762caacdc, app-4fd23bc869, app-822bb9d6aa, app-8675b3225c and 13 more) |
| 4. The cheaper fix first | decided per need in Appendix B: rows `G1`, `K47` at tier labs, stable (a member only where no rule, data, asset or app code serves the need) |
