1 on each axis is the authored size. Missing or null on input reads as 1 per axis; outputs
always carry it. A stored 0 is drawn as given (a flat node), as 1.x draws it, so an old save
still loads, and [`validate('configurator', doc)`](validate.md) passes it; an [`applyPatch`](Writer.applyPatch.md) operation on
`/model/node/{id}/scale` with a 0 or non-finite component rejects HoloInputError
'invalid-input', as [`PoseInput.scale`](PoseInput.md) does.
