Property of [`ManifestPart`](ManifestPart.md) · stable · since 2.0.0

```ts
readonly slots: readonly (string | null)[];
```

One slot per primitive of the node's mesh, in glTF order: the slot of the material it wears
(`extras.holostep.slot`, else the material name; null without one); empty without a mesh.
At runtime each primitive is a mesh part of its own ([`Query`](Query.md)), so a write for one of these
slots names it in the query's [`slot`](ManifestPart.slot.md): a write to the node's [`id`](ManifestPart.id.md) reaches every primitive.

## Generic-API test (spec 3.1)

| Rule | Result |
| --- | --- |
| 1. Neutral name | pass: `slots` names no product |
| 2. A precedent | not recorded: no ledger row (coverage.json) names this member or its owner |
| 3. Two apps, or labs | not recorded: no ledger row names this member or its owner |
| 4. The cheaper fix first | not recorded per member (Appendix B decides it per need) |
