# `Part.pose`

Property of [`Part`](Part.md) · inherited by [`Query`](Query.md) · stable · since 2.0.0 · called as `session.node(nodeId).pose`

```ts
readonly pose: Pose;
```

Local pose. Intent, or observed (stamped [`frame`](Pose.frame.md)) while a clip, bone, follow or drag moves it.
A pose rule and [`Frame.pose`](Frame.pose.md) on a model root ([`node(id)`](Writer.node.md)) take its world pose, so write back
from [`worldPose`](Part.worldPose.md) there: a `space: 'parent'` child model's `pose` is relative to its parent model.
Such a child rides its parent model's moves until its own pose rule sets its world pose; from
then it stays there when the parent moves, by a rule or a drag.

## Generic-API test (spec 3.1)

| Rule | Result |
| --- | --- |
| 1. Neutral name | pass: `pose` names no product |
| 2. A precedent | pass: [Unity Renderer.bounds](https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Renderer-bounds.html) (row `K57`) |
| 3. Two apps, or labs | pass: 5 apps (ledger: app-0c773a4ee3, app-b362a81c85, app-f9a32142f1; fleet cross-check: app-c1384707fc, app-f3598fad77, app-f9a32142f1) |
| 4. The cheaper fix first | decided per need in Appendix B: rows `K57` at tier stable (a member only where no rule, data, asset or app code serves the need) |
