Property of Pose · stable · since 2.0.0
readonly scale: ReadonlyPoint3;
1 on each axis is the authored size. When the matrix mirrors (a negative determinant), scale.x
carries the −1 and quaternion and rotationDeg are the proper rotation of the rest, so the
quaternion turns +Y and +Z into the matrix's own Y and Z directions, wherever the mirror was
written. A world matrix with shear (a part turned inside a non-uniformly scaled parent, such
as a lid bone in a stretched frame) has no exact pose: position stays exact, and
quaternion and scale are the rotation and stretch of its polar decomposition, so that
promise holds only without shear. For exact directions there, compose the local poses from
the model root down with /math mat4 (spec section 5.10).
