# `SceneModelOptions.assetBaseUrl`

Property of [`SceneModelOptions`](SceneModelOptions.md) · stable · since 2.0.0

```ts
assetBaseUrl?: string;
```

Absolute HTTP(S) directory for the model's GLB, try-on rig (`tryOnUrl`, `tryOnCandidateUrl`),
texture and HDR URLs; any other value rejects
HoloInputError('invalid-input') at the call. A URL with a scheme is used as is, and one that
starts with '//' takes the base's scheme. Any other (a bare file name or a path) resolves
beneath the base as 1.x's runtime resolves it: the base read as a directory, the URL's leading
slashes dropped, then URL semantics ('..', a query), so 'https://cdn/164' and
'https://cdn/164/' are one base and '/x.glb' is 'x.glb'. A `.holo`'s bare twin name resolves
beside the `.holo` instead ([`IModelNode.plainGlbUrl`](IModelNode.plainGlbUrl.md)). An empty URL ('') stays '' and fetches
nothing ([`IModelNode.glbUrl`](IModelNode.glbUrl.md)).

**Default:** the runtime's asset root

## Generic-API test (spec 3.1)

| Rule | Result |
| --- | --- |
| 1. Neutral name | pass: `assetBaseUrl` names no product |
| 2. A precedent | not recorded: no ledger row (coverage.json) names this member or its owner |
| 3. Two apps, or labs | pass: 20 apps (fleet cross-check: app-04c2774145, app-0c773a4ee3, app-37356bf09f, app-4762caacdc, app-4fd23bc869, app-822bb9d6aa, app-8675b3225c, app-b362a81c85 and 12 more) |
| 4. The cheaper fix first | not recorded per member (Appendix B decides it per need) |
