Property of TextureSpec · inherited by TextureSlot, TextureInput · stable · since 2.0.0

ts
image?: HTMLCanvasElement | OffscreenCanvas | ImageBitmap | ImageRef;

A canvas or bitmap, copied at the call. Write again to re-upload after redrawing. Row 0 of the image is v = 0 (the glTF convention: no vertical flip). Reads return an ImageRef. That copy is the one CPU copy the runtime keeps: it draws the texture again from it after a lost context and frees it once its ImageRef is no longer live (an undo or redo step keeps it). So a bitmap you keep after the call is a second copy.

Default: undefined (keep the slot's image)

Generic-API test (spec 3.1)

Rule Result
1. Neutral name pass: image names no product
2. A precedent pass: createImageBitmap() (row G23); Babylon.js DynamicTexture (row G23); glTF 2.0 texCoord sets (row K53)
3. Two apps, or labs pass: 4 apps (ledger: app-bcb7ef21da; fleet cross-check: app-59c5b5751e, app-e61a0b42ad, app-f3598fad77)
4. The cheaper fix first decided per need in Appendix B: rows G23, K53 at tier stable (a member only where no rule, data, asset or app code serves the need)
